Greg Johnson, Vice-President is a retired social worker and a writer.  Greg holds a master's degree in social work from WVU, and he is the author of a novel (The Loony Bin Blues) and two plays which premiered at GVT (“Mrs. Rawling’s Mess” and “Thursday's Child”).  He and is wife Libby are longtime Lewisburg residents.  They have a son, Nick, and a daughter, Sarah.

Ann Benedict is the last surviving signer of the corporation charter for Greenbrier Valley Theatre.  Ann’s many accomplishments at GVT include writing the original by-laws, initiating the Board committee system and goal-setting process, and designing and coordinating the local fund raising program.  Ann also spearheaded the successful purchase of the vacant Leggetts store in downtown Lewisburg, which has been established as GVT’s permanent home for developing a regional professional theatre.  Ann first appeared on stage as an animal in a children’s theatre production, and is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association.  Outside of GVT Ann sings tenor in the St. James church choir, has been married for 50 years to a college blind date, and is the mother of a farmer, a writer/college professor, and an actress/college alumni director.  She has six grandchildren and the “odd couple” of dogs – a mellow yellow Lab and a Jack Russell terrier.

Dee Brown retired from West Virginia University in 1997, moved to Greenbrier County, and by 1998 was out of retirement working as Development Director for GVT.  Over the next two years she managed GVT’s Raise The Roof Capital Campaign. Since 2000, Dee has served on the GVT Board of Trustees, chairing the Development Committee and serving as Vice President.  She currently serves as President of Westminster Foundation of WV and as a Board member of the West Virginia Faculty Merit Foundation.  In 2002, Dee was honored by the WV-AFP as Outstanding Volunteer Fund Raiser of the Year for continued work with GVT and Westminster Foundation’s Endowment Fund.  Her alma mater, WVU, has honored her with the James R. McCartney Community Service Award, and induction into Mountain Honorary and The Order of Vandalia.

Kim Cooper joined the Board in 2007.  Over the past year, Kim has helped by co chairing the board's Development Committee and organizing curtain call speeches.  A theatergoer since an early age, Kim also helped to promote GVT to tourists through her roles at the Greenbrier County CVB and The Greenbrier.   She is now Marketing Manager of The Greenbrier, an award-winning resort.

Steve Hunter is a Lewisburg lawyer withthirty-five years administrative, litigation, civic, and businessexperience. Steve, a native of Greenbrier County, graduated from West Virginia University, and has called Lewisburg home for twenty years. Steve is also an auctioneer, and has been doing the GVT Art Auction for over ten years. He and his wife DeEtta are supporters of GVT.

Judi Kenaston moved to Lewisburg in the summer of 2005.   A life-long theater enthusiast, she was impressed by the offerings at GVT and was excited with the opportunities that existed for the youth in the community.   Her children have been in the GVTeen productions each year since arriving in Lewisburg.  Judi joined the board in 2007.  She has been involved with church music for many years, including directing drama and musicals for children and youth, and is an elected administrative officer with the West Virginia Conference of The United Methodist Church. She and her husband, Joe, are parents of three children: Diane, Rachel and Connor.  In her spare time Judi enjoys music, traveling, and being outdoors in the beautiful Greenbrier Valley.

Lana Martindale, a long time GVT patron, has been serving on the board for five years.  As a past president of Ivy & Stone Council for the Arts, she worked to promote a Nicholas County interest in GVT.  Lana's consummate interest in her native Greenbrier County is reflected in her Virginia Tech thesis "Highways to Health and Pleasure: the antebellum turnpikes and trade of the mineral springs of Greenbrier and Monroe Counties, Virginia".  She currently works as a bunker tour guide at The Greenbrier, and lives in Sumersville.

Daniel Ream, a native of Greenbrier County, has been affiliated with GVT for over 25 years, and played the role of Oliver in the 1983 production of the same name.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1995 from Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina.  Daniel is Vice President of Ream Interests, Inc., a local real estate development corporation that specializes in rental real estate and restaurant operations. Daniel is currently in his second year on the board of GVT.

Linda Walls has been a GVT Board member for two years.  She has been a professional pianist for over thirty years, and often assists with GVT auditions, rehearsals, and performances as an accompanist.  In addition to her musical talents, Linda also is the manager of Bunker Tours at the Greenbrier.

Beverly White is the administrative assistant for the Group Home program at Davis-Stuart, Inc., a therapeutic treatment facility for teenagers who cannot live at home.  In addition to serving on the GVT Board for three years, Beverly also serves on the Board of Trustees for Greenbrier Valley Medical Center and is a second-term councilwoman for the City of Lewisburg.  Beverly attends John Wesley United Methodist Church and is a published poet.  Her hobbies include spending time with the elderly, music, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and attending live theatre.  Beverly feels we are “very, very fortunate to have such an outstanding [theatrical] facility in our community.”
