Gettin' Groovy for a Great Cause

GVT is proud to announce its upcoming fundraiser, the 70s Lip Sync Battle and Dance Party, on Saturday, Nov. 17. The doors open at 6:15 p.m. and the Lip Sync Battle will start at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person and include two drink tickets and a vote for the Lip Sync Battle. This exciting evening is a new way for the people to experience theatre and bring the community closer together. Special Events Committee member Krystal Tawney said that this is a great opportunity for people to come together and get groovy for a great cause.

“If you have not visited GVT before, this is a perfect opportunity to come experience a fun evening and interact with the community,” Tawney said.

A few people vying for the title of Lip Sync Champion are Mark and Debbie Kilcollin, Mark Bowe and Mary Baldwin, to name just a few. These locals will be performing such acts as Abba, Kiss, Simon & Garfunkel, plus many more!

Come dressed in your favorite 70s fashions to witness this epic showdown, and vote for your favorite act, as Lewisburg locals go head-to-head to see who will claim the title of Lip Sync Champion. Celebrate the winner with a Dance Party, then keep the fun going with an after-party at The Asylum in downtown Lewisburg.
