The Exceptional Music Series at GVT

Each new season at GVT is always accompanied by an amazingly varied music series, sure to entertain anyone. Whether you enjoy the drama of the worlds most beloved operas with Met: Live in HD series, an evening of jazz masterpieces with the West Virginia Jazz Orchestra or an intimate evening full of musical theatre favorites with the always-popular Kermit's Kabaret, we've got something for everyone.

Coming up this Monday is an evening of world-class jazz entertainment, provided by the West Virginia Jazz Orchestra, and featuring Jeff Curry. Curry has been seen in festivals and concerts around the world and is most well-known for his skills on the bass. Together with the WVJO, he will be performing four of his original charts; “All Through the Years,” “Born of Fire,” “For Jehter” and “The Beauty Fool.

Also coming soon, is the Met: Live in HD series production of Cosi fan tutte. This comedy

by Mozart has been cleverly reimagined by Phelim McDermott, with a set  modeled after Coney Island in the 1950s. Starring the Tony award winner Kelli O'Hara as Despina and Don Alfonso will be portrayed by Christopher Maltman.
