student matinees

This fall, we will be presenting Macbeth by William Shakespeare. We are thrilled to bring this classic of suspense and intrigue to our stage for student audiences!

  • Run time: approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes with a 10 minute intermission
  • Mature themes such as death and violence will be explored (rated PG-13)
  • Recommended for middle school ages and above

There are 8 matinee performance dates: October 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 30, 31. All performances begin at 10 am. Dates fill up quickly and are on a first-come, first-served basis. Depending on group sizes, each matinee can seat multiple schools. The theatre has a 141-seat capacity.

The GVT Student Matinee Program is made possible through grant funding, which helps offer discounted tickets for students, free tickets for teachers and chaperones, access to a comprehensive study guide about the production, an opportunity to attend a talk back with the cast and creative team, and space available to eat packed lunches after the performance. After the performance, teachers and students will be asked to complete a short online feedback form to help us continue to apply for and receive our grant funding.
